Field education is at the heart of social work education and is an important component of the BSW program at Bloomsburg University. As educators we strive to provide students with diverse opportunities in their field placements so they can integrate meaningful experiences into their lifelong learning process. The Field Education Program in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UWM has partnerships with several hundred agencies that provide field instruction for Undergraduate and Graduate social work students. The Resource Book is updated frequently with new agencies and agency programs.
A baccalaureate degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)–accredited social work program earned within 6 years from the date of matriculation; An overall GPA of or better, and a GPA of in the social work major. Applicants with GPAs below may be admitted on a provisional basis.
